As Ananthi leaves Fishbourne school we also complete one of our final acts of fund raising. For the last 4 years Vaani has been creating some great indian food to sell at the school fete and this year was our last. Rumour has it that the indian food stall raised the most money each year and we know that people enjoyed it, time and time again. Photograph of Julian grabbing the first plate of food yesterday.

Had one of those fantastic London weekends when we discovered how easy the city is to walk around and explore. Using the wonderful campaign that has been created to save the indian elephant and its habitat we walked nearly 5 miles on Saturday from the south bank to Oxford Circus (and back) and then on Sunday we walked all the way from The Royal Albert Hall to the West End (and back). Got some great photographs and the kids were absolutely brilliant in running from one elephant to another and rarely complaining about how tired they were. Although the numerous stops, for drinks and ice creams at Freggo’s made the journey even more memorable.

For those of you that have travelled to South India you will probably know the taste of a dosa. A large flat crispy fried roll of gram flour that is filled with any number of items. I have been waiting weeks, months and even a couple of years to order this monster, the 6ft family dosa at Sarasvati Bhavans restaurant in Tooting Broadway. Check it out.
